Otherwise, I'm still working on my watercolor technique. Below you can see my latest attempt. I've been experimenting not only in mediums, but in subject matter as well. I never do portraits, but here is my handsome hubby. Mike, I hope you don't think you look too retarded! ^_^

Blog Facelift & New Watercolor
As you can see, I've been trying to give my blog a bit of a facelift. I managed to get a WonderToast banner up, but I'm still working out some html kinks. I have merely the most basic of programming skills, and not much time to fix the bugs, so let me know if you see anything weird. Thanks!

If you click on the painting to enlarge, it looks a bit better.

wow, you have great watercolor skillsm I love the blog makeover too
Haha Anna, the line "Mike, I hope you don't think you look too retarded!" caught me off guard...that was great! This watercolor is awesome. I myself never feel incredibly confident that I know what I'm doing when it comes to watercolors, so when I see a good one I have to give major props. (I like the new blog look too!)
nice watercolor if u want a suggestion all i can say is maybe u shoudn't have did the inside of the mouth a solid black since the tongue would show some kinda of pink color out side of that i like it
I like his happy face and how you put the colors in the portrait. About the template, I just see that the background is divided in two brown tones but I don't know if it was meant to be :)
Thanks, Michael! I find that scans of paintings never show the subtelty that the original has...the mouth isn't quite solid black in the watercolor, but I have to put up with a crap scanner. Oh well! Thanks for checking it out! ^_^
